Hey, Curlfriend!

I specialize in Dry Curly Cuts & a No-fuss routine for curls of all kinds.

I am a Jacksonville native that enjoys going on adventures and living life to the fullest.  I'm a huge supporter of the arts & music community here in Jax. I love sharing the best local restaurants, places to visit, and events happening in the area.

I am married to my best friend of 25 years and we have three teenage boys together.  When I'm not helping people discover their inner curl, you'll find me on the dancefloor or camping with friends and family.

"My favorite thing about being a hair stylist is helping people to love their hair. Curly hair doesn't have to be a chore, it can be simple and easy.

When you sit in my chair I will take the time needed to get to know your curls and together we will find a routine that works for your lifestyle."

Growing up, I really thought that I had ugly, frizzy hair.  I had no idea that it was even curly. I would constantly brush it, praying it would stay small and not explode into a gigantic frizzy mess.  Perhaps you can relate?

I was sick and tired of not knowing how to manage my hair.

Stylists never offered me styling advice, instead they would blow dry my hair straight or I would leave with wet hair.

I had no clue what my hair was going to look like!

In 2002, I met a woman named Lorraine Massey at a hair show. She invited me to come to NYC to learn her dry curly cutting technique called the Deva Cut.

I love the idea of cutting curls dry, but wasn't a fan of the Deva styling products.

I began researching all of the curly products on the market and how they react in our wet humid climate, vs. drier climates. What I find is a lot of curly products are developed for dry climates, which leave our hair feeling heavy from the moisture in the air.

I enjoy using curly products from multiple different brands, and proudly offer fragrance-free & non-toxic products for my friends with sensitives, allergies and auto-immune diseases.

Being a Curlfriend myself, I truly understand the challenges you are having.

I invite you to come share stories of curl disasters and the difficulties you have faced on your curl journey.

Do not worry if you're not a great communicator.

I am, and I know just what to ask.

This is a safe space for all!
